We will use two formats of competition for matches.

The first is the Round Robin style where competitor will go up against everyone one in the group.  We will only do this in situations where there are 8 competitors or less.  Depending on the number of people in the group, will decide the number of times will shoot the cycle.  A rule of thumb, the normal number of rounds for a match is between 8-15 rounds.   The least number of cycles we will shoot will be two (double round robin) the most will be four.

The Last Man Standing will be the primary style as it is the one used in most championship formats.    This competition is based on the number of times you will be allowed to lose before being taken out of the competition. Generally the least will be 3 losses (usually called X's, thus a three X match.) the most we will allow is 5. (Some special competitions will be 2X)

Generally the Men shoot against the Men and Women shoot against the women.  Youth shoot against other youth.  In larger events, the competitors can further be divided by age groups for awards in those age brackets.

Part of the fun of the sport and spirit of the game is that we dress in western fashion.   The era we portray is wide, ranging from the days of the early west to the modern era of the B rated westerns.  If you show up with the wrong piece of clothing, it doesn’t mean we won’t let you compete or try it out.  After two shoots, the competitor is expected to have some idea on what to wear.  At the very least, we will accept in this club, is an attempt to fit the role.

This means for men, work boots, jeans, western style or flannel shirt (no short sleeves) and some form a hat from the western era.

Women must adhere to the spirit of the game in clothing.  They are granted a wide latitude as to what they can wear.  Tee shirts or short sleeve henleys will not be acceptable to wear with this club.   We really don’t want to be fashion police, so use some common sense.

There is a new fashion wave “steampunk”.  This will be acceptable within reason unless CFDA comes up with a rule  regulating it.  I don’t see this anytime in the near future.
